Lizard Squad hacker arrested after Xbox, PSN attacks

The Cyber Crime task force have arrested an 18-year-old man in the UK; The Independent reports the teen is believed to be in connection with the world-renowned Lizard Squad that took down Xbox Live and PSN on Christmas Day.

This comes soon after a 22-year old was arrested who is also believed to be a part of the Lizard Squad group. The Xbox Live and PlayStation Network Christmas Day attacks angered many gamers and of course Sony and Microsoft, the hackers said they did what they did as a promotional stunt.

Sky News reports the 18-year-old is now being held in Southport, northwest England under the British and FBI operation, not only for the hacking but alleged threats to kill.

Cyber crime is a massive problem around the world, and British Prime Minister David Cameron met up with President of the United States Barack Obama to reinforce a joint venture to battle cyber crime.

Millions are turning to social media like Twitter to question if the 18-year-old arrested is part of the Lizard Squad hacker group. Gamers are very happy indeed someone thought to be apart of the Christmas attack has been arrested.
