This one does supersede recall 2013092 and 2014223. So of you have a one of these models mentioned above and it was inspected and/or repaired under the previous recall they will need to be re-inspected and/or repaired.

There is an apparent gap between the fuel tank protector and salty water can splash up onto the brake lines through this gap. In return possibly making the brake lines to rust, which can then lead to leaks.

There have been reports of last years recall not being able to fix the problem, and this is why another recall has been issued. Dealers will now apparently apply anti-corrosion material/coating to the brake line connectors for free. You can contact Subaru on 1-800-894-4212, a light will appear on the dashboard according to Subaru if there is a fault with your brakes. The recall number is #2014586.

After searching all of Subaru’s social media channels, we have not found any recalls there, we have checked Facebook and Twitter accounts and nothing.
