Attacking the freedom of speech is attacking Anonymous, and now the hacker collective is moving forward to shutdown all known terrorist Twitter accounts.
After the horrific Charlie Hebdo nightmare Anonymous started its campaign to shutdown terrorist Twitter accounts, but since doing so #OpCharlieHebdo was hijacked by infamous marketing hoax group Rantic.
Many people died at one of the offices of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, four people were killed in Paris at one of the kosher supermarkets.
This is why Anonymous has set up a new campaign called #OpCharlieHebdo, you can visit the Twitter account @OpCharlieHebdo where they already have 46.5K followers, but they have been at the brunt end of Rantic at the moment. The Guardian reports registered opcharliehebdo.com redirects to Rantic.com, and now the OpCharlieHebdo Twitter account is moving away from Rantic’s antics.
When you type in your URL address bar opcharliehebdo.com you will be redirected to rantic.com/charlie/, and @OpCharlieHebdo were not to happy about this.
If you visit the OpCharlieHebdo Twitter account you will see a number of tweets, with one saying they are not responsible of the opcharliehebdo.com website. They go on to say it is a fake site and maybe a scam so avoid it, they also add to the tweet a few hashtags, which include #OpCharlieHebdo #JeSuisCharlie #CharlieHebdo.
Please do watch the English version of the Anonymous #OpCharlieHebdo video below. You can also read a little more about the #OpCharlieHebdo campaign over on Pastebin.
