Paris is in a state of shock after the Charlie Hebdo massacre this week, and multiple hostage situations are occurring. This breaking news of gunmen holding hostages at a kosher supermarket in Paris is sending shock waves across social media.
Police are already in the middle of a standoff with gunmen in Dammartin-en-Goele, northern France. And now police have surrounded the Porte de Vincennes area after a man took aim with his gun where around 5 people are being held hostage.
It has been reported this could be the same gunmen that killed the policewoman yesterday in the city. Several people have been wounded and two dead. The New York Post reports the suspect that killed the policewoman was Amedy Coulibaly, and could be the same man holding hostages at the supermarket.
No link has been confirmed as of yet between the Charlie Hebdo attack, the hostage situation at the Kosher grocery and today’s standoff in Dammartin-en-Goele.
If you visit the Interior Ministry @ Place_Beauvau (Translated) Twitter account you will see update. The last tweet was explaining how parents can pick up their children except in the security perimeter. When you look at this Twitter account they are denying there are casualties.
The names released by the police of the gunmen are Hayat Boumeddiene and Amedy Coulibaly.
