GM (General Motors) is making it clear there is a problem with a few of its vehicles on its social media channels such as Facebook and Twitter.

They are recalling 83,572 vehicles between the years 2011-2012, motors include Cadillac Escalade, Escalade EXT, Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Avalanche, Sierra HD, Yukon, Yukon XL, Silverado HD, Silverado LD, GMC Sierra LD, Suburban and Tahoe.

The report receipt date was set on December 30, 2014 with the ‘NHTSA Campaign Number’ being 14V827000. The General Motors fault surrounds the ignition lock actuator where it could possibly bind. This could in return make it very hard to turn the key and in some cases causinf the key to get stuck in the “Start” position.

GM have pinned to the top its previous post and tweet on Facebook and Twitter, the posts were published on August 29th and now they have made sure everyone sees it by pinning it. They say you and your safety is paramount, and provide an image guide if you have a vehicle that is part of the GM ignition recall.

If you own any of the vehicles above you should contact GM customer service at 1-800-458-8006 (Cadillac), 1-800-462-8782 (GMC) or 1-800-222-1020 (Chevrolet). The GM number for the recall is 14696 for the original equipment, and 14912 for the service replacement parts.
