The new social media campaign ‘Hall of Fame’ list published following a year where brands, both big and small have sought to embrace the power of real-time, reactive marketing.
Compiled by PR and social media agency, Umpf, the table lists a collection of the world’s best social media campaigns, from iconic brands such as Adidas, NASA and Burberry to lesser known names such as Nerds for Nature and Thorne Travel.
Amy Byard, Account Manager at Umpf said: “Whether they’ve been created to raise product awareness, increase sales, drive footfall, add fans, improve SEO or enhance audience engagement, one simple thread links all these social media campaigns together, a clever concept.
“At the heart of any great marketing campaign, whether it’s a press ad, a piece of direct marketing, sales promotion, PR, or in this case social media, you’ll typically find a brilliant idea – each of the campaigns in our Hall of Fame exhibits that trait helping generate brand buzz, conversations, interaction and engagement.”
One social media tribute to hit the ‘Social Media Hall of Fame’ was the #putoutyourbats campaign over on Twitter, even Google search showed an image of a cricket bat. This was to pay tribute to the 25-year-old Australian cricketer Phillip Hughes who died after being hit with a cricket ball.
The list also shows many other social media campaigns that grabbed the attention of you. The ‘Social Media Hall of Fame’ can be seen in full at Umpf.
