Both Facebook and Twitter are always full of scams and malware, but ESET and Facebook have joined forces to protect social media users from malicious content.
ESET posted onto its Facebook page the latest news where Facebook users can increase their security on the social media site so they do not get infected by malware. You can also read more about it here.
The ESET social media scanner, which also protects Twitter, will check and “Protect Facebook”. On Twitter it will protect posts and profiles from anyone that you are following, and on Facebook it will protect your messages, timeline, newsfeed and timelines of your friends.
There have been many scams, like the one we reported earlier where a survey needed filling out for a free $100 shell gift card. Another was where videos were being shown, which users had to share and like for the chance to win an Audi R8.
Have you used the ESET social media scanner yet to protect Facebook or Twitter?
