China is in hot water with Range Rover after they showed off its new Landwind X7, which is a clone of the Range Rover Evoque.
The price of Range Rover Evoque would cost somewhere around $62,580, yet the Landwind X7 starts at a very reasonable $21,903 in. There is clearly a massive price difference and you can see why Jaguar Land Rover are not happy at all.
There is most definitely a ‘similarity’ between the two vehicles and official protests did break out. The Landwind X7 for sale price at only $19.600 is a true bargain and people will love it, except Ranger Rover creators.
The Chinese car maker LandWind are being accused by Jaguar Land Rover for “breach of international regulations” after this model was revealed at the Guangzhou motor show. Autocar reports, Land Rover chief executive officer Dr Ralf Speth saying, “The Intellectual Property is owned by Jaguar Land Rover and if you break that IP then you are in breach of international regulations that apply around the world.”
When you look at the Landwind X7 Range Rover Evoque clone you can see the body shape, mirrors, light configurations etc all have the same styling. When this news first came to light the social media networks started to light up, people were questioning the new Landwind X7.
Features on the Landwind X7 will be released with a eight-speed automatic gearbox or a six-speed manual, and will have a 2.0-litre 188bhp turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 184lb ft of torque.
Do you think makers are wrong releasing the Chinese Landwind X7, which clearly resembles the Range Rover Evoque?
