Mark Zuckerberg took to his Facebook profile to talk a little about the Breakthrough Prize Award Ceremony in Mountain View, California. The good news is he doesn’t always wear a T-Shirt; this time round he wears a tuxedo.
Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan attended the Breakthrough Prize ceremony, which was held at the NASA Ames Research Center. This was to celebrate and reward the scientists who discovered groundbreaking discoveries in the life sciences.
Facebook’s CEO says in his post they created the Breakthrough Prize so that people can recognise the scientists he calls ‘heroes’. It is not only discovering life sciences, it also shows breakthrough discoveries in mathematics and physics.
Within the Facebook post Zuckerberg say’s, “These people have helped us gain insights into humanity and the universe around us that will help us cure diseases, improve our lives and push society forward.”
