The Internet should really stop killing Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin, the man has died so many times it is starting to become boring. Macaulay Culkin’s death over the weekend sent the social media world crazy, before learning it was all a hoax started by a Facebook memorial page.
Macaulay Culkin is alive and kicking, and to prove he is still breathing Culkin took to his Instagram account and shared a picture of him holding a bottle of Delaware Punch and smiling.
Even his Instagram description says, “Macaulay Culkin is so famous that he got his own emoji – HE IS NOT DEAD.”
The rumors of Macaulay Culkin being dead over the weekend sent Twitter users into a frenzy, all you had to do was look at the Twitter home page and Macaulay Culkin dead tweets were coming in super fast. Even Miley Cyrus apparently died over the weekend as well.
Snopes were one of the first to report of the Macaulay Culkin death hoax, the fake memorial Facebook page said that he passed away about 11 a.m. ET on Thursday 11 Nov. Clearly a post to get people clicking on the Facebook like button, the page was taken down shortly after it went viral.
Twitter users were sad to hear he passed away, one said they are very upset and saddened to hear of his death and will be missed.
