The new Sony PS4 v2.0 update is now live, and when you turn on your gaming console you will be prompted to download the firmware for your machine.
You will need to download the new 2.0 firmware if you wish to continue accessing the PSN; basically it’s a 218MB mandatory update.
The main update brings gamers the stunning ‘Share Play’ feature; this will provide PlayStation 4 users the ability to create a whole new online local co-op experience. Share Play allows you to invite friends online to play the game with you, and they do NOT even have to own the game.
To get the full benefit of Share Play you will need to be a PlayStation Plus member, for the full Share Play features please visit the PlayStation blog here.
On the social networking side of things, gamers will be able to upload and share gameplay from the PS4 to YouTube by clicking on the ‘Share’ button on the DualShock 4 controller. Even more good news is that the new PS4 YouTube app will be available to download soon from the PSN.
Are you looking forward to the new PS4 YouTube app, or are you not really bothered?
