Even though Facebook managed a $1.5billion profit in 2013, they still escaped paying any United Kingdom corporation tax.
Facebook escaped paying any tax in the UK this year, which means the general average earner paid more tax in the UK than a business making a profit of $1.5billion.
This is Facebook’s second year without having to pay tax in the UK; this was down to the social media site reporting a pre tax loss of £11.6m in the UK.
The words ‘United Kingdom corporation tax’ was a Facebook trend yesterday and that is why we all heard of the latest tax news. Kind of ironic that within Facebook Trends is Facebook not paying any tax in the UK.
People may have a little anger inside them with Facebook not paying any UK corporation Tax, but we feel Mark Zuckerberg has balanced this out by donating $25million to the fight against Ebola last week. And to add a little more happiness in your life please watch Mark Zuckerberg answering questions in Chinese.
