Rio Ferdinand countdown to Twitter insult charge

Rio Ferdinand has only 7 days to respond to the charge made by the FA after he insulted someone on Twitter.

Queens Park Rangers defender and Former England centre back, 35 is in hot water at the moment after being charged by the FA for misconduct after an insulting tweet he made.

The alleged tweet was published on his Twitter account where his 5.9 million followers could see, Ferdinand (hashtag) was in a tweet that he saw saying, “Maybe QPR will sign a good CB (centre back) they need one.” This is when the footballer hit back with his own tweet in response saying, “get ya mum in, plays the field well son! #sket.”

Ferdinand’s tweet was seen as abusive and in a statement by the governing body it was said to be indecent and/or insulting and/or improper as reported by Reuters.

He now has until October 21 to respond to the charge made against him, the tweet was apparently sent in September.
