Mark Zuckerberg $25 million donation to control Ebola

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and wife Priscilla have just donated $25 million to help fight the Ebola virus.

Many of Zuckerberg’s followers are calling him man of the year, after he posted his statement on his official Facebook profile.

The $25 million donation was made out to the Centers for Disease Control Foundation; he explains the Ebola virus has already infected 8,400 people so far and that the epidemic is at a critical turning point.

Ebola is spreading so fast Zuckerberg posted it could infect over one million people over the next few months if not addressed. Zuckerberg points out Ebola needs to be under control soon so the spread does not become a ‘global health crisis’, for many decades like HIV or polio.

The donation by Mark and his wife is a huge start to fight Ebola, he said, “a great way to empower the CDC and the experts in this field to prevent this outcome.”

This donation comes soon after nurse Nina Pham contracted the Ebola Virus, here is hoping the money donated can help her.
