Facebook, second largest company with over $200b

Facebook is now the 22nd largest company in the world after crossing the $200 billion barrier; going over the $200b mark is an astonishing achievement by Mark Zuckerberg and team.

The market capitalization was set at $200.26 billion with stocks closing at $77.6 on Monday, which is an all-time high for the company.

The social media network will only grow stronger with its new additions, features and updates, such as moving forward to monetise acquisitions like the messaging service WhatsApp and photo-sharing site Instagram, Once they capitalise on these then the stocks will only but go higher with more revenue to boot.

They have already started to incorporate auto-play videos, as well as a new video view counter. Not forgetting Facebook’s recent purchase of virtual reality Oculus VR Inc for nearly $2 billion, and with 100 million users in Africa recently announced the company is going from strength to strength.

When it comes to the list of the world’s biggest corporations, Facebook sits just behind giants Verizon Communications Inc, but just ahead of Toyota Motor Corp.

Where do you think Facebook will go now, what is up its sleeve as the next big social networking feature?
