Sir Cliff Richard releases Facebook statement

After the Sir Cliff Richard rumours surrounding the sex offence allegations, the star decided to take to his official Facebook account to release his statement.

Sir Cliff Richard now 73 has decided to release his statement on Facebook (August 14) because he wanted his fans to know how he felt, his house in Sunningdale, Berkshire UK was searched by the police when the singer was not home, at the time of the search he was at his other home Portugal.

The police were searching his Sunningdale home in relation to the alleged past sex offence, Sir Cliff Richards’ Facebook statement was to let fans know he has been aware of the allegations against of the ‘historic impropriety’, which has been going around online. The star well known for songs like ‘Summer Holiday’ says the allegations are completely false.

His statement also mentions the star not dignifying with the false allegations with a response, because this will just ‘give them more oxygen’. In the Facebook statement Sir Cliff Richard say’s he will cooperate fully with the police if they wish to speak with him.
