Jon Jones vs. Cormier brawl prompts Rogan’s callout

Joe Rogan’s callout on no contact policy came soon after the Jon Jones vs. Daniel Cormier brawl at MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas when they both attended the UFC 178 Media Tour, the YouTube video and Twitter got a lot of attention.

The Jon Jones, Cormier fight happened when they both met at the UFC 178 Media Tour, Jones and Cormier walked onto the stage towards each other, but then it turned sour when Jones put his forehead onto Cormier’s’, but Cormier did not like this and put his hand around Jones’ neck and pushed him away.

In other reports Jones did say the situation was silly and he believes he over reacted, and also mentions he may have turned a lot of fans off, but also turned a ton of fans on.

Joe Rogan believes there should be a no contact policy before a fight; this sort of behavior shows a negative light on the sport. Rogan said, “It was ridiculous, the guys were not professional. The new rule should be out into place and the only contact allowed is if fighters want to shake hands or hug, if anything like this happens then there should be fines.
