The Slender Man and Creepypasta social media takeover

The Slender Man name has been getting a lot of attention on social media site Twitter and the hashtags #SlendermanStabbing, #SlenderMan, and #creepypasta have gone viral, after a 12-year-old girl was stabbed.

Internet born Slender Man became a reality after Anissa Weier and Morgan Geyser of Wisconsin said the fictional character was seen over on the Creepypasta Wiki site, and since then the horror meme became real.

The two girls stabbed their friend and Weir reportedly said she believed Slender Man to be real, she said the horror meme was the head of some realm called Creepypasta. For two girls believing they were Slenderman’s proxies leading them to kill their friend is super crazy, especially to demonstrate allegiance to him.

Slender Man news is all over the social networks and since the slender man stabbing news hashtags #SlendermanStabbing, #SlenderMan, and #creepypasta have gone viral.

The little 12-year-old friend was stabbed 19 times according to reports; she is now out of hospital after the ordeal that happened on May 31. Both Weier and Geyser also 12 have been charged with first-degree attempted homicide, at the moment they are being held on US$500,000 bail in a detention facility.
