Prince Charles Twitter reactions after Putin, Hitler remark

Prince Charles is under the scrutiny of Twitter users at the moment after he reportedly said Putin is like Hitler, tweets are coming in very fast indeed and can see the Prince of Wales trending by the end of today or tomorrow morning.

Breaking royal protocol Prince Charles reportedly likened Vladimir Putin to Adolf Hitler; the Daily Mail reports that this was an unguarded comment after he told Marienne Ferguson in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Prince Charles reportedly said, “And now Putin is doing just about the same as Hitler’, this comment came just after he was sympathising with a woman who had lost family to the Nazis during the Holocaust. The prince was introduced to a museum volunteer that left Poland with her Jewish family to live in Canada, and this was when the Prince Charles comment came about.

Many will see the comment as some sort of criticism; wonder how this will pan out when Prince Charles meets with the Russian President on June 6 for the D-Day commemorations in France?

Labour MP Mike Gapes has called for the prince to ‘abdicate and stand for election’; some are even saying Prince Charles and Vladimir Putin should have a public debate where the audience should be able to ask them both questions.

Many tweets are coming in at the moment, Charlie Skelton tweeted, and “Clegg say says Prince Charles is “free to express himself.” Yeah, he’s not “free”, he costs us millions.”

Many tweets are coming in under the hashtag #PrinceCharles, even when you simply search ‘Prince Charles’ the tweets are coming in very fast indeed.
