Blueprint layout of social media sizes for images

Social Media websites such as LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Google Plus, Twitter and Pinterest are always changing its profile dimensions, which means users are left playing around adding the right photos etc – so here is a breakdown of social media layout sizes.

Social profiles are always being tinkered with, both profile and cover photos always look better when they are the right size. The Twitter redesign changed the way profiles looked, and even though it is suggested to use 1500 x 500px photos the inforgaphic says different. In fact the best size for a cover image on Twitter is 1500 x 421px and a profile image of 500×500.

If you load in the full size suggested by say Twitter the cover photo will not fully show on mobile devices, and the profile photo will cover the cover image on smartphones.

Take a look at the Facebook layout dimensions for example, the cover photo is best at 851 x 315px, just take a look at the breakdown of social media layout sizes below.
