New Twitter design rollout vs old design

Twitter has a new design for April 2014 and the roll out has already begun, profile pages look so much different than the old design, which we believe will cause a little bit of a stir with users.

In a way it looks very much like Facebook, the way the posts look a little larger, more centralized, wider photo and the way the background looks.

Looking at Channing Tatums’ new profile you can now see a whole new design and at the top it shows how many Tweets, Photos/Videos, Following, Followers and Favorites, so it shows a little more than the old design. The new design also shows on the left side a little about you and also shows when you joined Twitter.

Facebook and Twitter’s new look are rather similar now; the profile photo now overlaps the background cover photo. Other than the design there are three things to look out for, and these include Best Tweets / Pinned Tweet / Filtered Tweets – The tweets with more engagement will show up a little larger than normal, which means content will be easier to find.

Users will also be able to pin one of their tweets to the top of the page, and when it comes to filtered tweets this allows a user to choose which timeline to view when checking out other profiles. Select from these options: Tweets with photos/videos, or Tweets and replies.

If you look at Channing Tatum’s’ Twitter account above you will see the new design, and compare this to Sandra Bullocks’ old design below you can clearly see the difference.
