A giant squid found in Santa Monica, California has taken the world by storm and shocked all, it was measured at 160 feet, and the photo of this huge sea creature went viral on Facebook and Twitter with over 500,000 tweeting and viewing the image.

Mr Butch Witt what was you thinking? The giant squid was found beached on the Santa Monica coastline is a hoax and has fooled everyone, if you visit The Lightly Braised Turnip Butch Witt has written an article talking about the squid, this news comes just after two giant oarfish were found in Los Angeles according to The Mirror.

According to Butch Witt the giant squid was believed to have originated near the Fukushima Dai-ichi Nuclear Power Plant in the Futaba District of Japan, and then ended up in America.

Many websites try to mislead the public with fake news and this is one of them, take a look at the two updates over on The Lightly Braised Turnip website for example – they really do not want the public going near the coastline. The first update said in brief that local authorities have urged the public not to go see the beached giant squid due to heavy traffic in Santa Monica and safety concerns.

The second update says that the public cannot get close to the giant squid, apparently two Chinook helicopters have been in the air – all sounds a little strange right!
