Kobe Bryant Twitter rant after extension criticism

NBA player Kobe Bryant recently signed a new two-year extension with the Los Angeles Lakers, and by doing this it has made him the highest paid player. The deal is estimated to be around $48.5 million and this has not gone down too well with the social media because it limits the Lakers ability to add more talent in favor of helping Kobe win his sixth NBA championship.

After the criticism Kobe turned to his Twitter to defend his extension and why he decided to sign the extension, many believe its all about the money and for him to reach his sixth NBA championship win.

One of his tweets said, “Btw lakers have max cap space and then some” you can see these tweets below this article.

Many are saying that by him signing the extension it will stop/restrict the Lakers having other elite players surrounding Kobe, and it was this that was criticized by fans on social media. Many Lakers fans said they he should have taken less, in fact the Lakers should not have offered him so much.

Kobe Bryant did say to Yahoo sports “‘Well, I’m going to take substantially less because there’s public pressure, because all of a sudden, if you don’t take less, you don’t give a crap about winning’. Read the full interview over on Yahoo, and then read the Tweets by Kobe Bryant below.
