Angelcare monitor recall warning via Twitter

Consumers have been warned that if they purchased the ‘Angelcare Movement and Sound Baby Monitors’ then they should stop using immediately. The Angelcare monitor recall has been issues dated November 21, 2013 with recall number 14-028.

This baby monitor is being recalled because the cord attached to the baby monitor’s sensor pad is dangerous, it is placed under the crib mattress and this cord could potentially wrap around a child’s neck causing strangulation.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is working with Angelcare Monitors Inc and announced a voluntary recall to provide cord covers for 600,000 Angelcare Movement and Sound Monitors with Sensor Pads.

If customers have purchased the Angelcare sensor monitors they need to check their model numbers, these are the models being recalled: AC1100, AC300, AC201, AC401, AC601 and 49255, please check on the rear of the monitor unit for the model number.
