Google Plus YouTube comments vs users on change

The new YouTube comments were put into place to no doubt bring a more respectable user-friendly commenting environment, but was we all ready for the change? The new systems means that users would have to open a Google Plus account if they wish to place a comment on the video-sharing site.

It seems to many that both YouTube and Google Plus would attract more professionals rather than the troller’s who like to be sexist, racist or homophobic etc, and if you wish to post a comment on YouTube you will have to open a G+ account, and this might be too much for some users.

Would you set-up a G+ account to comment on YouTube?

Commenting on Google Plus on YouTube has to be thought out now, if you now decide to use bad language etc this will show up on your offline person according to Adweek’s Garrett Sloane. If you already have a good following on Google Plus you know all so well that when you post or comment anywhere you show up everywhere in the search engines, let alone all of those following you.

YouTube users are far from happy that they got to sign into their Google Plus accounts, or set up a new account. Google is all about collecting data, and they will collect everything everywhere, even from YouTube. You have to look at it on the other side of the spectrum; there ARE nasty anonymous commenter’s so surely implementing Google Plus is a good thing, right!

I have had no problems at all commenting on YouTube whilst signed into my G+ account, but many are saying the new commenting system is broken. There are always two sides to a story and we will let you be the judges here, people are basically a little annoyed that Google forces their way onto everything.

Many users are saying Google is only there for the ad revenue do you agree or disagree?

Al the above said and done, we did say there were two sides to the story. We are not great users of the commenting on YouTube, but we know many users are very upset indeed, and we have talked about the petition to get it removed a number of times. We said above in a nutshell that trolls will not be bothered to sign-up to Google Plus just to comment on YouTube, but many believe that they will open many fake G+ Plus profiles just so they can be disruptive.

Trolls are trolls and they will never go into hiding, its what they do. Adding Google Plus to YouTube comments will not help this problem yet. Yes, we said YET – we believe that Google will figure out the issue within due course. VidIQ has reported that YouTube comments are down by 40% since the comments policy changed.

OSM Says: Get rid of the disruptive people on YouTube and there will be many major brands wanting to advertise on the video site.

Are you a hater or lover of the new Google Plus YouTube comments?

The trolls were anonymous before, and will continue to be anonymous. The legitimate users, like myself have moved to disposable Google+ accounts and now have no legitimate interest in commenting seriously.

I’m not surprised comments are down 40% due purely due to being forced to use Google+… the idiotic way the comments have been re-structured should drive away another 50%.

Idiotic move, Google. Weren’t you already rich enough without having to destroy YouTube?

A business’s objective is to make as much money as physically possible in the shortest amount of time. “Weren’t you already rich enough” doesn’t exist.

Wow, down 40%? I’m surprised it’s down that much, but I for one closed my youtube and Google plus accounts on principle…I don’t like to be forced to do things against my will.

The real reason Google is doing this is because they want less comments and discussions on topics that are serious or knowledgeable about the government and secret stuff, so they are making it so hard to comment and get replies because they don’t want people passing information in discussions really they just want to dumb you down hence when you link Google+ you loose your subscription on your smart tv and get all the YouTube promoted dumb videos of cats and people eating hamburgers or Arnold Schwarzenegger talking about a damn plant basically stuff to keep the society dumb rather than knowledgeable subscriptions you might have

At first I hated the change because I was ignorant of it. Now I love it, there are discussions now and less spam. And Google+ isn’t half bad! If only my comments on videos weren’t publicly displayed on my profile though..
