Norwich City defender Ryan Bennett charged for Twitter misconduct

It seems you have to be a little laid back when tweeting on Twitter, and this is what Norwich City defender Ryan Bennett found after being charged for Twitter misconduct.

Bennett has been charged by the Football Association because of comments he posted on Twitter replying to the public, the 23-year old has decided to delete his Twitter account after the charges made by the FA, which he has to respond to by Friday April 26, 4pm.

The defender for the Norfolk club who was signed from Peterborough United in January 2012 has been accused of using insulting and/or abusive threatening words in response to public tweets on Twitter.

He decided to delete his Twitter account after saying “Being charged by FA, for replying to someone coming for me, that’s the reason so bye bye all.”

OSM say’s: It is a little harsh the public can say what they like on Twitter, but as soon as you are a sports person or celebrity you have to be careful what you say, its not fair that the public can slag you off but then you have to rise above it as not to get into an argument.

Ryan Bennett will be charged internally according to the Canaries, please do let us know what you think of the above news by commenting below.
