New HP Folio 13 specs, undercuts MacBook Air

With the run up to Christmas in full swing now, manufacturers are doing their uttermost to bring out their new devices in time and the choice of what to choose is getting harder. This year has seen many impressive smartphones and tablets come to market and we have to say some new laptops and it’s the latter that we wanted to bring you news on.

Joining in with many other names is that of Hewlett Packard and their new “Folio 13 Ultrabook.” In appearance the new Folio may be a little chunkier than some of its counterparts, in fact 0.7-inches in thickness and weighing in at 3.3 pounds, but it’s the additional selling points to the Folio that are hoped to entice.

First up the HP laptop has a screen size of 13.3-inches, Core i5-2467M processor, six-cell battery which results in the Folio having at least nine hours of life, HP’s CoolSense technology, 4GB of RAM, 128GB mSATA SSD, backlit keyboard, HDMI, Ethernet, USB 2.0 and 3.0 and so on.

If you’re still not convinced by the Folio’s specs, then perhaps the price will do it for you. With as Engadget stated, a retail price starting at $900, it comes below the MacBook Air with a price of $1,299 upwards, along with other laptops from Asus with their Zenbook UX31 and the Lenovo IdeaPad U300.

In relation to the Folio 13’s release, it will be ready on December 7th in America, so guys let us know what you think? With a cheaper price than Apple’s MacBook Air, are you convinced?
