Italy’s Ducati reveals 1199 Panigale in Milan

For a true motorcycle fan, the name Ducati conjures up misty-eyed thought of blood red Italian passion and soul. Seen as the Ferrari of the biking world, Ducati have a passion for producing some of motor cycling’s most exotic machinery.

Just when we thought there could be nothing more beautiful than the 1198, the Bologna based company pull the covers off its latest creation at this years Milan Show. MCN were there to report on the new 1199 Panigale, featuring an all new cast aluminium monocoque chassis and after almost 25 years, a brand new Ducati engine.

Weighing in at just 190kg, the 1199 Panigale packs an impressive 195bhp from its V-twin power plant. As with all Ducati superbikes the options list can send shivers down the spine of any two-wheeled fanatic. Traction control, ABS and brake force distribution control come with the obligatory full electronically adjustable Ohlin’s suspension.

Prices should start at the £14,995 mark for a base model with the 1199 S Tricolore pushing the limits at £23,495, know one said that this amount of style comes without a price. Tell us how much you would be willing to spend to be the envy of almost every motorist on the road?
