Twitter reacts to Red Arrows ejection fatality

The social networking site Twitter has today given tribute to two individuals who have passed away, the first reported on this morning of legendary boxer Joe Frazier, and the second that of Red Arrows pilot who today lost his life, when he was ejected from his Red Arrow flying machine whilst on the ground at the home base.

This will be the second death for the team in some three months, after the sad tragic loss of Flt Lt Jon Egging nicknamed “Eggman,” who was killed when his Red number 4 crashed near to Bournemouth Airport after a flying display.

After as the www.dailymail.co.uk reported, the famous flying team had finished their displays in September, training resumed at the RAF base in Scampton in Lincolnshire. Prayers and messages have been sent to the lost pilot, family, friends and of course the rest of the Red Arrow pilots. A full investigation will now be carried out.

Many have taken to Twitter and tweeted their own thoughts by saying, “Thoughts are with the family and friends of the Red Arrows pilot who died today after an incident at RAF Scampton.”

Another said, “Sad news about the Red Arrows pilots. 2 deaths since August. A high cost to pay for keeping us spellbound RIP brave one.”

UPDATE: The Red Arrow’s pilot has now been named as Sean Cunningham Red Number 5.

With such a high level of flight experience, are these elite pilots more vulnerable? Give us your thoughts. Of course leave us your tribute messages below.
