Rival iPhone 4S, Droid Razr, Galaxy Nexus vs Rezound

Decisions, decisions, decisions! Do you find yourself in a quandary over which smartphone to purchase, its not really surprising, with a multitude to choose from, take four which have either landed or about to, that of the iPhone 4S, Droid Razr, Galaxy Nexus and Rezound.

With each being reported on individually, we wanted to take the next step of comparing the new four smartphones to see if there is in fact a clear winner, we have to point out that Apple’s iPhone 4S is the only device out of the four that has officially released with the other three expected in the next week or so.

Ok so let’s get down to it. The new iPhone 4S despite its similar appearance to that of the iPhone 4, includes a new 3.5-inch Retina display, A5 dual-core processor, 8 megapixel rear camera with front-facing, new Siri voice recognition, iOS 5 OS and global roaming with GSM and CDMA. Although it’s fair to say that the new iPhone 4S has been selling out in many countries, problems have arisen with its battery and how much life is pumped out during a day. Users have been complaining about this very issue for the last few weeks and news is now pointing towards a beta 5.0.1 version update coming very soon to hopefully rectify this amongst other things.

Next is that of Motorola’s new Droid Razr, an impressive handset on appearance. With a bigger 4.3-inch qHD Super Amoled display, the Razr comes with a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 8 megapixel rear camera and front facing, 4G LTE support, massive 1800mAh battery and running on Android Gingerbread OS. The new Razr will also benefit from the introduction of streaming service Netflix.

Our favorite is that of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, which we just reported on today with its UK release date of November 17th. Featuring a 4.65-inch 720p HD Super Amoled display, the Nexus will pack a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 5 megapixel rear camera with CMOS sensor, 1.3 megapixel to the front, NFC, Android’s brand new Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 OS and to unlock the phone, this can be carried out purely by face recognition.

Last up and one to be seriously considered, is the HTC Rezound due to be released on November 14th. It will land with a 4.3-inch Super LCD display, with a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 4G LTE support, 8 megapixel rear camera and 2 to the front, Android’s Gingerbread OS although it will come with Ice Cream Sandwich ready with its key feature of Beats Audio technology.

Have you got a favorite? Which one and why?
