Black Friday 2011 is fast approaching with a start date now of November 25th, the day after Thanksgiving. For those that have never participated in the popular event which nowadays carries through the entire weekend until online shopping event Cyber Monday, the idea is to get your favorite item(s) at a lower price than you normally would at any other time.

Target, ToysRUs and Macy’s are just three of the retailers joining in with the BF madness, as well as others which will no doubt include Sears, Walmart and so on. Following on from our previous article, we wanted to give you some extra tips to allow your shopping experience to flow without any problems and in the long run, prevent you from spending a fortune.

Our first tip as we mentioned earlier, is to check the ads before BF, retailers tend to leak their special deals in advance and another to bookmark as well as the two we gave you earlier, is that of Black Friday@gottadeal.com. In order to check that you are getting the best deal from a specific retailer is as news.consumerreports.org reported, to check online before you queue up outside the store. Sometimes the deals can vary, without the added shipping costs.

Other tips include signing up for email alerts which will include getting the latest promotions, coupons or discounts along with stock availability, check out QR codes, do not be tempted to travel around stores finding the best deal, which as reported may only be the difference of a few dollars. Sound advice is to check out the stores return policies as well as if a warranty may be issued. Always ask the retailer whether they will be prepared to price match and sometimes stores combine two or more products called Bundles.
