New MacBook Pros today with improved hardware

Just a few days ago, our very own Peter Chubb here at OSM, was keen to bring you news in relation to the new MacBook Pro line up with possible design, processor and of course price. At the time we could only speculate with a handful of rumors, but today we can now bring you more concrete information.

Fans of the MacBook Pro line-up will be pleased to learn that the biggest change according to Mashable, is that of its CPU or processor as some prefer. The 13-inch Pro will now come with a 2.4 GHz i5 or even a 2.8 GHz Core i7 CPU, each being that of dual-core.

The meatier 15-inch and 17-inch, will now pack either a quad-core 2.2 GHz i7 or a bigger 2.4 GHz i7 processor. We have to point out at this stage that both models can be configured to a quad-core 2.5 GHz processor should you desire.

In terms of design and price the MacBook Pro line-up will not change. For the 13-inch base model, you can expect to pay $1,199 with an i5 processor and $1,499 for an i7 processor.

For the 15-inch with i7 processor, this will set you back $1,799 and as pcmag.com stated, $2,199 for the two configurations. As for the 17-inch model, this retails for $2,499, with all models having the option of being purchased with 512GB of SSD storage.
