Unearthing components for Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Whenever a new handset is unveiled, be it the iPhone 4S, Motorola DROID RAZR or the Samsung Galaxy Nexus we only learn of the main features, as those are the ones that really matter. However, it’s very rare that we get to learn of the inner workings, so you will be pleased to know that a developer has been unearthing component inside the Nexus Nexus.

Now, we are told that there are no real surprises here, but it’s nice to know just what will make this new Android Ice cream Sandwich smartphone tick. Maybe once you know what’s lurking inside it will allow you to make that all-important decision on what should be your next smartphone purchase.

Engadget has broken down the components into three categories, these are as follows: Silicon, Sensors and finally Misc. internals. There are many similarities between the Galaxy Nexus and the S II, but the biggest change will be software support, as you know that the nexus will have all the latest versions of Android before any other Android based handset. If you are expecting a few surprises in the hardware then don’t, there’s nothing special there that will make you say wow.
