Lytro Light Field camera: review of technology

You have to love it when something new comes to the market that we have not seen before, which is pretty hard considering the relentless pace of the amount of devices being released. The latest to add to that list is the Lytro Light Field camera, and while having a little review of the technology, we can see that it is not like your conventional camera, but do not worry, you will not be paying the price for it.

With the huge choice of cameras already on the market it’s hard to know what one you need. If you want simplicity then just stick with your compact point and shoot variety. However, if you are looking for something a little different, then the Lytro Light Field camera could be for you. What makes this piece of technology so different is how it catches all the light from a scene and then allows you to do far more than has ever been possible.

Remember how many times you have said that your camera does not capture the moment how you see it, well this new device will do just that, as it is able to record more data than ever before – yep it’s all about the data people. Before you go and visit DPReview we just want to let you know of the cost, its $399 for the 8GB version and $499 for the 16GB. These will not be available until early 2012, but you can pre-order your one now.
