Google+ for business: Sign up for pages almost here

Google+ was launched on June 28, 2011 it was just invite only, but that was not the only strange thing. The new social project was only allowing personal accounts to be set up but not business. However, there were a handful of test pages set up, such as Ford (which you see above) and Mashable. Well we have some good news, as Google+ for business is imminent.

This could be a major boost for Google, as it could now start to bridge the gap between them and Facebook, but we cannot see this vs. battle being won overnight. It’s going to take much more than this to persuade people to start using Google+ (aka Plus) rather than the preferred social network.

While at the Web 2.0 summit CNET News learned that the Google+ for brands will not happen in a few days, but it will not be that far behind. This is certainly great news, as we know that the search engine giant will improve websote rankings for those with more followers. It is this part of the deal that will help the new project become popular over time, as Google has been pushing to rank sites by how social they are.
