More iPad 2, iPhone 4S and Galaxy S2 benchmark tests

Last week we looked at some preliminary benchmark results for the iPhone 4S, which showed that the new iPhone had a slightly slower GPU when compared to the iPad 2, although it was extremely fast still. The benchmarks also compared the iPhone 4S to the rival Android handsets, and the results can be seen via our earlier post.

Today we wanted to point you in the direction of some more benchmark tests now that the iPhone 4S is little more established, and these new results also look at how the 4S stacks up against the Galaxy S2 and iPad 2.

Crave/Cnet has taken a look at how the iPhone 4S performs and explains that while the outside is just the same, you need to look much deeper to see how much the hardware has changed. The SunSpider JavaScript tests show that the 4S is well ahead of the iPhone 4 on scores, and also the HTC Sensation and Samsung Galaxy S2.

The tests were carried out on some really demanding games, and these included Real Racing 2 and Infinity Blade. Do you think the jump in hardware makes the iPhone 4S a good buy? Let us know what you think of these latest tests.
