T-Mobile’s new LG DoublePlay delivers

Phones that include only a touchscreen are more common now than ever before, although this is not the answer for everyone, and there are those that love to text a lot and want many more buttons on their smartphones.

T-Mobile’s new LG DoublePlay delivers when it comes to this request, and LG want to prove it in the ultimate text messaging challenge, which is shown during the U.S. National Texting Championship. The 2011 competition will see one winner receive over $50,000, and the event is a big promotion for LG thanks to the contestants using the new LG DoublePlay.

LG’s new phone features Swype for easy text input and a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, other specs include a 2.0-inch sub display, 3.5-inch main display, 5-megapixel camera, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, 720p HD video and a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
