iPhone 4S vs Motorola Droid Razr: Battle of speed

For many the wait was finally over on Friday, when Apple’s new iPhone 4S with new iOS 5 OS officially released to a sea of consumers. With new internals to boast about, we ask whether this will be enough to beat off rival competitors such as Samsung with their new Nexus Prime or even Motorola’s new Droid Razr.

Towards the end of September, we brought you news that a new Motorola device was in the pipeline but we were a little unsure about its name, the two choices being that of the Spyder or Razr. The latest is that Motorola according to Joe Svetlik at Cnet.com, will be announcing what will be the new Razr tomorrow (18th October) and it’s showing some pretty awesome specs.

Leaked by way of a teaser video which you can check out below, the Droid Razr is reported to be faster than the new iPhone 4S, thanks to its 1.2GHz dual-core processor with double the RAM of 1GB compared to Apple’s 512MB. Other possible advantages over the iPhone 4S are that of a bigger 4.3-inch screen and 4G LTE support, although the latter will only benefit those within the US. Other tasty features for the Droid Razr include an 8 megapixel camera with 1080p along with a Kevlar case.

Will you be tempted by the new Droid Razr from Motorola?
