Japanese Apple: Reveals iPhone 4S Release Date October 14th

Whilst the whole web is searching for any minute detail surrounding Apple’s event that is currently on where it is widely expected that the iPhone 4S will be displayed, we have found out a little more than we bargained for earlier than we expected… The Japanese Apple website has revealed the iPhone 4S release date to be October 14th in a spectacular blunder.

People have been speculating about what Apple will be doing at their conference today with many people thinking that we might see the iPhone 5, personally I can’t see that happening until 2012 like they did with the iPhone 3GS and then the iPhone 4. Today had been going so well for Apple with more details being shared about their new iOS 5 being displayed on their website as Maddy Rowe of OSM reported earlier and then this happens!

We learned of it through an article published by Matthew Panzarino of thenextweb.com where he has found that the Japanese site seems to have jumped the gun and confirmed the details that we have all been waiting to find out. The screenshot shows the “Featured Store Events” with a note of the iPhone 4S and October 14th. Check it out below.

As you can see the image is broken but one can only assume that it’s an iPhone 4 casing as previously expected with updated specs such as the A5 processor already seen in the iPad 2. There are also details over on cultofmac.com where John Brownlee has also been talking about the madness seen on the Japanese site; he has said that the Ginza Retail site also leaked images of the iPhone 4S, where it looks completely identical to the iPhone 4 in black and in white.
