Samsung Galaxy S III Specs Leaked Early: Coming 2012

All of the big smartphone talk of late has been about the iPhone 5… no more! Thanks to what appears to be a notorious leak, we now have fresh speculation to thrive on. The leaked information in question is that of the Samsung Galaxy S III and once again it is reportedly a company employee who has cocked up. The success of the S II has prompted Samsung to go a step further with their smartphone and if there is any truth to these rumors, it looks like a beauty.

Whilst none of these reportedly leaked specs are certain, we are sure there is truth to some of them. According to T3, the Samsung Galaxy S III will run on Google’s latest version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0. This sounds very plausible given the expected 2012 release date, with the Nexus Prime set to get ICS first after details and images on it were also leaked a while back. The Galaxy S II was unveiled at Samsung’s Mobile World Congress back in February which could be an indicator as to when we will get its big brother.

What made the Samsung Galaxy S II stick out from the crowd was its large vibrant screen, this strong point will be adopted also with the S III. The handset is rumored to be packing a beasty 4.65-inch Super AMOLED 1280 x 1024p resolution display! The imaginative design above from Concept-Phones can give us an idea of what to expect, the huge screen and thin body being kept. The US is waiting for the imminent release of the Galaxy S II which will feature 4G LTE; this would surely be a certainty for the S III?

The next big news to take from this potential leak is an upgraded camera. The S II featured a sharp 8 megapixel camera with 1080p HD recording, the S III will feature a 10 megapixel camera and the same video shooting quality as its predecessor. Inside there will reportedly be a powerful 2GHz Quad-core processor alongside 1.5GB of RAM and a massive 32GB of built in storage. Do these specs sound realistic to you? Furthermore if they are accurate would you buy the Samsung Galaxy S III? Let us know by leaving a comment.

Just got my S2 from Sprint and it’s great; but I would definitely be first in line to buy an S3 with those specs, and I would pay the extra money for Verizon to be on LTE.
