Order HTC’s Titan & Radar (WP7): Prices, Release

As the smartphone market embraces the arrival of Motorola’s new Droid Bionic today and we have to add its been just over nine months since its initial announcement, HTC are also giving us plenty to look forward to. With the months flying past, the company with their logo saying “quietly brilliant” are indeed living up to this, smartphones such as the Sensation, Thunderbolt and EVO 3D have already released and there are plenty more in the pipeline.

Just recently we’ve given you details of new additions such as the Vigor/Holiday, Amaze 4G which are set to rumble the present market and last week HTC were keen to announce yet another two the Titan and Radar, this time using Windows Phone 7 Mango OS.

Our very own Matt was keen to bring you the specs for both, which we will re-literate for you in just one moment, but to add to this prices and a delivery date have now filtered through. Firstly if we concentrate on the Titan, this will be the company’s largest smartphone to date including a mighty 4.7-inch display, this blows a fair amount of devices completely out of the water and that’s just the screen.

As gizmag.com reported, the Titan will retail for a pretty hefty price of £489 at Amazon.co.uk and for this you would expect to get many mind blowing specs. Including a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, the HTC benefits from an 8 megapixel rear camera and 1.3 megapixel to the front + 720p video recording. 16GB of storage and 512MB of RAM are included with connectivity using Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi and 3G, GPS, apps with a 1600 mAh battery. The Titan can be pre-ordered now with as theinquirer.net stated a delivery time of 15 October.

For the Radar which can be classed as a lower-ended model, this will be slightly cheaper at a price of £349. Specs will see the new HTC with a 3.8-inch LCD screen, much smaller 1GHz single processor, 5 megapixel rear camera with VGA front-facing, 8GB of internal storage, apps which are hoped to incorporate more social networking integration and so on. The Radar is rumored for delivery at the same time as the Titan.

Details are of course for just Amazon but UK retailer Clove is offering the Titan for £498 and the Radar for £285 with a release date of early October.

What are your thoughts of the two in question? Are you tempted by either or do you feel there are others that stand higher?
