HTC Amaze (Ruby) 4G Beats Galaxy S II (LTE) Hands-Down

The mobile phone market has never been so inundated with devices that have either landed or about to. In a quest to produce that “extra special” something, manufacturers have been finding ways to either bring a complete new product to the table or using add-ons to an existing model. Examples of this have included Apple’s iPhone and Samsung’s Galaxy S. On a daily basis since the beginning of the year, we have given you news on a whole bunch of phones and at times its a job to keep up with the multitude of names.

Beginning their life as a prototype and at times enduring a name change from then until the time they launch, smartphones have been big business! From now until the end of this year, we’ve got some pretty mean devices to look forward to, these include the Motorola Droid Bionic which is supposed to release tomorrow on the 8th, Apple’s iPhone 5, Samsung’s Nexus Prime, a whole listing from HTC such as the Holiday and the Vigor and so on. But two that we wanted to put side by side are that of the existing Samsung Galaxy S II and the new kid on the block, the “HTC Ruby or Amaze 4G as its now also known.

Samsung’s Galaxy model has already made its way to other countries barr America. Its hoped that people there haven’t got too much longer to wait, but as the days drift into weeks, other manufacturers will be using this to their advantage and bringing out new handsets, this can be said for the HTC.

The Amaze 4G as its now called has been mentioned already by ourselves and just two days ago, we brought you news that yet more leaked pics had been seen of the device. Specs wise, they’ll pretty impressive. First up display size, the Amaze will bring with it a 4.3-inch qHD with support for HSPA and as rethinkwireless.com stated speeds up to 42Mbps. Along with this, the processor will be that of a 1.5GHz dual-core processor beating that of the standard Galaxy S II but equalling that of the newly announced Galaxy S II LTE version. Click here for more details on that.

Camera wise, the Amaze will include a 8 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel to the front equalling that of the Galaxy S II, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS along with HTC’s Sense 3.5 User Interface as appose to Samsung’s TouchWiz.

Although its still unclear as to when the Amaze will arrive, rumor is indicating to a date of around October 26th with carrier T-Mobile taking it by the horns, this falls in line with yet another big device that of the Samsung Hercules.

Tell us what you thoughts are on the Samsung Galaxy S II and the new HTC Amaze 4G? Are you tempted by either or are you more of an Apple fan waiting for the iPhone 5 to brace us with its presence?

I agree, these phones seem equally matched. Sounds like it’ll come down to if an exynos will be in the sg2, and what’ll be in the amaze.? Also just the new touchwiz vs HTC 3.5.
