iPhone 5 Taking Market: Sprint Pre-Sales Early Oct

You will not be surprised to hear of yet more iPhone 5 news today. Just yesterday our very own Debbie Turner spoke about the highly anticipated smartphone rumored to arrive around the second half of October, with the addition of an “Apple Fixture Installation” taking part in a Best Buy location on the 21st of the same month. As we have always said to our readers, rumors of course have to be taken with a pinch of salt until officially confirmed.

But its the news that came through late last night that caught our eye in relation to US carrier Sprint. According to Charlie White over at Mashable, rumor has it that an internal Best Buy document has surfaced, stating that a Sprint iPhone 5 is nearly upon us with pre-sales starting for the handset right at the beginning of October. As you can see below, the document in all its glory indicates that “iPhone 5 product introduction expected, pre-sales begin for expected October 1 launch/Sprint launches iPhone 5” with a date at the top of “Week 9/4.”

At the end of last month, we brought you possible news that the carrier was looking to launch the handset on October 7th along with news that pre-orders were being taken of the phone in time for this date.

If this is to have any truth in it, then Apple’s fifth gen is looking more and more likely to release during next month, that’s a matter of weeks. As with all iPhone 5 news, we try to bring it to you as soon as it comes in. In relation to what the new addition will have in terms of specs, its price and whether it will be available on all US carriers is anybody’s guess.

Over what seems to be months and months of speculation has bought us nowhere nearer in finding out. A rumored smaller screen has been noted as well as the introduction of iOS 5, 8 megapixel camera, possibly the benefit of over 500,000+ apps, 1GHz dual-core processor which would match that of the Motorola Droid Bionic due to release on September 8th and so on. As to how the iPhone 5’s popularity will fair when it eventually arrives is unknown, as lets face it there’s some pretty impressive devices either just landed or about too, but many would no doubt agree that once you’ve had an iPhone product be it a phone, tablet, laptop and so on, there’s no intention to change to another brand.

Tell us where you stand with the new Apple iPhone 5? Are you waiting patiently or not really holding your breath?
