HP Pre 3 Flagship Phone: Specs, Price, Ready Now

If you’re in the market for a new mobile phone but are unsure what to opt for, then a new addition is now available. Steering away from Samsung and Motorola who seem to be hogging the limelight with their Galaxy S II and Droid Bionic offerings, the latest news is of a HP Pre 3 phone which will be their “flagship.” As well as the new addition handset, the HP TouchPad tablet is yet something else to consider if you want an alternative to Apple’s iPad.

For us here at Online Social Media, the HP Pre 3 and news of it, has unfortunately fallen into the background as a consequence of some of the bigger players. But on looking at the specs sheet, you may be surprised that the Pre 3 hasn’t had the recognition that it perhaps rightly deserves.

As Brad Molen at Engadget stated, the HP Pre 3 has come onto the market after seven months but with no real big hype, shame when we tell you that the 3.6-inch 480×800 resolution displayed device will come with a slide out keyboard, 512MB of RAM, rechargable 1230 mAh Li-Polymer battery, 1.4GHz processor making it the fastest on the market therefore outwitting the 1.2GHz dual-core processor currently on the Galaxy S II.

Alongside these, the HP comes with webOS 2.2, rear camera of 5 megapixel with benefit of video recording at 720 pixels, front facing VGA camera, functions such as email, SMS, MMS, Adobe Flash 10.1 support and so on.

According to Engadget, the Pre 3 is now available from the official Palm Eurostore for a price of £299 or $490 Stateside with other retailers such as Clove and Box following suit.

On the subject of the HP Pre 3, we must tell you courtesy of Recombu.com, that the device will not be available from carrier Orange, as they stated, the handset can be found through third-party stockists.

As you can see for the money, the HP offering is not a bad device, it will give users something different to carry around instead of the usual suspects. Teenagers may now venture towards the Pre 3 instead of opting for a BlackBerry or as recombu.com said, HP have now given an alternative for professional business people.

Give us your thoughts on the new HP Pre 3? Is it something you would consider?
