Samsung’s New Additions: Galaxy S II, Celox & Xcover

For those of you that have to have the latest device and are into your mobile phones, then you might want to listen up! As well as the very popular Galaxy S II from Samsung, the company have announced two other handsets to run alongside their cousin, that of the Celox and the Xcover. In many other countries with the exception of the US, people have been enjoying what the Galaxy S II has to offer and its pretty impressive.

But as we all know, technology is forever changing and with the implementation of two other Sammy devices, can their very own Galaxy S II withstand the competition? If we start off by looking at the Galaxy Celox, in terms of rumored specifications, you can expect to get a much bigger 4.5-inch screen, much larger than that of the S2 along with a WVGA Super Amoled Plus display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, equalling that of the S2 an 8 megapixel rear camera and 2 to the front, 16GB of internal memory with expansion to 32GB, bigger 1750 mAh battery on comparison to the S2’s 1650mAh. In terms of OS, the Celox will no doubt run on Android’s Gingerbread. At the present stage, its difficult to gauge whether the new addition will just reach countries within Europe and miss out the US completely, this is something that we will keep you posted on.

Moving on to the next that of the Galaxy Xcover. This device is ideal for those of you who perhaps have a demanding job working outside in all weather conditions. The Xcover has been cleverly constructed to survive in just about all terrains, be it dirt, dust or even water.

The Xcover will not only give you a powerful smartphone with inclusion of Android’s up to date OS, but will bring with it a smaller 3.6-inch display with the possible benefit of Gorilla Glass, ok so the screen size is smaller than that of the other two, but surely this should work in your favor if, for instance you require the phone to be in your pocket. The rear camera is small of 3.2 megapixels compared to the 8 megapixels provided on the other two, along with WiFi, GPS and 3G. Whilst the Galaxy S II is already available in Europe, the Xcover will not be available until October and that’s just in Germany.

Whilst Samsung seems to be hogging retailer shelves, Motorola are also close to releasing their Droid Bionic and possible Dinara with the Photon 4G also being a desirable option. HTC are wowing us with their Sensation, EVO 3D and future news is pointing to a Vigor and Ruby which include massive 1.5GHz dual-core processors.

Give us your feedback on the Samsung devices in question? Have you already got the Galaxy S II and if so what do you think about the handset? Does it deserve the attention that its getting, or perhaps you prefer the rumored Celox or even Xcover?
