Inviting Friends To Google+ Just Got Easier: How To

If you didn’t realize just how popular Google+ is already then check out our previous reports that say its hit 25 million users already as well as how at this rate its set to overtake Twitter and LinkedIn within a year. For those of you who still aren’t on there, Google has just made it easier for your friends to invite you to Google+ and here’s how to do it.

Previously you would have to obtain a friend’s email address and then use the invitation button, but as you don’t necessarily know your friend’s email addresses Google decided to help you out. Now they have added the quickest possible way of doing things by adding a link you can share with the people you want to be added to your network, this is a clever way of aiding the growth of Google’s new social network making the growth as seamless as their search engine as this method takes the least possible effort.

We heard about the update through an article over on Mashable by Ben Parr where he has told us that everyone has their own unique link that can be shared. We were previously asking how long you think it would take Google+ to catch up with Facebook, if they ever will, this will certainly aid the growth whilst they are still in the beta stage.

We are presuming that the beta rules still apply using the link, where the intended person joining up will need to be over 18 years of age. This is perhaps a feature that Google should keep even when they come out of the beta stage and allow people to sign up just by using a link on their website.

There are limited numbers that you can invite but if you are still looking for an invitation to get onto Google+ then you can use some of mine by CLICKING HERE. Once you are on feel free to add me to your circles where you can keep up with social networking news including that of Google+, on the other hand if you wish to invite your own friends then click on the “Invite Friends” button on the right hand side of the screen and get the link from there.

The update was originally found over on the Google blog where Balaji Srinivasan is talking about it. He also tells us that as this is a field trial the invitations are limited to 150 per person (for now) which implies that this could become more or maybe even unlimited. He has also added a video where he explains how you can get your link to share with friends; you can see this at the bottom of the article.

What do you think of this new feature from Google? How many of these links have you now seen on people’s Facebook status? Let us know in the comments section below.
