Motorola Droid Bionic: Price Revealed, Worthy Or Not?

We know that rumors have been kicking about for the last few months in relation to the new Motorola Droid Bionic, but its hoped that the release is just a short time away now. Delayed a while back, there was speculation as to whether the handset would actually release and if so whether it would launch under a different name, this if the news is anything to go by, will not be the case.

Just a matter of days ago, the Bionic which has racked up a huge amount of interest has now got a rumored release date of around August 4th, although some are still skeptical as to whether it will more like the month of September, not a wise move with Apple’s iPhone 5 due at the same time. The problem with any new phone launch is that its pure speculation and nothing more until officially confirmed. Today its news of the Bionic’s supposed price which has been spotted via a new Motorola “Droid Does” page.

As via AndroidCentral reported, the page which can be seen below clearly shows the Droid Bionic with a listing of its dimensions and with a price at the bottom right-hand corner of $299.99 on a two-year contract, this price actually falls in line with the Samsung Droid Charge.

The leaked page is reported to be active the first week of August which if true would tie in nicely with the rumored August 4th release.

In terms of a specs listing, the Droid Bionic running on the big red Verizon network, will include 4G LTE support, possible 4.3-inch Pentile qHD display although this could as suggestion has it, change to a bigger 4.5-inch, 1GHz dual-core TI OMAP processor, 8MP rear camera which would equal that of the new Samsung Galaxy S2 and front-facing VGA camera, 512MB RAM, Webtop and so on.

As we mentioned yesterday, there is yet another Motorola handset, the Dinara, in the pipeline offering similar features to that of the Bionic, although it will provide a lighter and thinner design. As well as this the new Dinara if launched, could include a massive 13MP rear camera and bigger 1.2GHz dual-core processor.

Tell us your thoughts on the Droid Bionic and its possible $299.99 price? Would you be willing to pay this amount taking into consideration the time its taken the phone to surface? Or perhaps you would rather spend your dollars on something else and if so what? We enjoy reading your comments so please feel free to leave in the box below.

Doesn’t look real. That would NOT be the screen shot they would display for an Ad with the Bionic. 8 little app icons, a google search widget and a TERRIBLE wallpaper… NOPE… wasn’t that the screen shot on the pics of the original version of the Bionic anyway?? This is a FAKE.
