Droid Bionic Near Release: Dinara In Pipeline, Decisions?

There are many new smartphones on their way to you in the coming months and its been a job to keep up with changing news. Every man and their dog are competing for the number one spot and with a list as long as your arm, its a tough decision to make that purchase.

One contender which we know is on the way is that of the Motorola Droid Bionic on Verizon, with its “enhanced features” giving the consumer a better phone experience. From what we know so far the Bionic which we have frequently put alongside others, is rumored to include a bigger 4.5-inch display, 8 megapixel camera and possibly upped dual-core processor. This we will have to wait for along with its release date which is causing a little confusion, with August or September noted as the time.

But before you put all your pennies together for the Bionic, you might want to take a look at yet another Motorola super phone in the pipeline, with a possible arrival in the winter months. Bring on the new “Dinara.”

According to Cnet via Droid Life, the rumored Dinara will be similar to that of the Bionic but with a lighter and slimmed down appearance. Snippets of information include a rumored qHD High Definition screen, non-replaceable internal battery, Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS although this could change to the new Ice-Cream inclusion, massive 13MP rear camera and front facing camera for video chat. In terms of dual-core processor, we have been left in the dark but judging by others edging their way onto the market, nothing less than a 1.2GHz is advisable, in actual fact some we’ve already brought you news on (click here) are looking to include a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, pretty impressive stuff.

We have to point out that specifications have not been made official so please take all news until otherwise with a pinch of salt.

At the present time, Motorola are pushing out a fair few devices including the Bionic, the Photon 4G and now the rumored Dinara and its not the first time today we’ve heard of a phone manufacturer bringing out a new handset, with a similar form factor to an already released device. Just this morning there was talk of a new Samsung Galaxy “R” handset coming out which will be similar to the current Galaxy S2, but with a smaller 4.2-inch screen and rear camera although slightly heavier and thicker in appearance, the selling point to this is that it will be a cheaper alternative to the popular S2.

Tell us are you waiting for the new Droid Bionic? Or is there something else that has caught your eye? What are your thoughts on another rumored Motorola handset? Can the phone market with its retailers and consumers cope with constant new introductions?

Now that the Samsung Galaxy will be out next month I will not be purchasing the Bionic anymore.

The Bionic is only a little over 2 weeks away. Why wouldn’t we wait for it? I’m not waiting a few more months for the Dinara to come out after waiting 6 months for the Bionic to come out. The quad core phones should be out 1st quarter of 2012 so why waste time for the Dinara?
