Ok, so many of you will no doubt be questioning the choice of name and how it came about? According to the, there is still a little uncertainly as to where the name Harper comes from, suggestion has it that it could be from author Harper Lee or even Harper’s Bazaar magazine, which out of the two we know which we would choose.

Harper is a name that apparently Victoria Beckham has been keen on for quite some time and in relation to the name Seven, this could be the Beckham’s favorite number, its in keeping with their daughter’s arrival, just after 7 am in the morning within the 7th month and possibly David’s football shirt number.

As well as many fans “liking” the Facebook announcement, Twitter has been a hive of activity including tweets from Beckham family members and close friends. These include David Beckham‘s sister who said, “Big congrats to my sister in law @victoriabeckham and my big bro on the birth of my beautiful niece, can’t wait 2 see u all xx”

Ex Spice Girls and friends Mel B and Emma Bunton also took to the site and congratulated their friends by saying, ‘Congrats!!! Yipeee another spice baby is born, damn it wish it was me this AM cos I feel like I’m about to POP!” Bunton tweeted, “Big kiss to @victoriabeckham can’t wait to meet your gorgeous little girl!”

Little Harper will now join her three big brothers, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz.

It’s actually quite an inspired name, although it breaks away from their tradition of naming their kid based on the country/city that they conceived it.lols Quite a lovely family, hopefully the baby will make them stronger.
