Rumored release dates for both have been circling for a while and up now until its been difficult to not get too excited. But you may want to mark July 14th on your calendar as this is looking a likely date.

From past articles we’ve brought you, this date has already cropped up so there may be some truth in it. Ok, so its not been officially announced, but according to Slashgear via, Apple stores are preparing themselves for both launches to come at the same time, with news that staff will be organising new advertising and marketing material including, signage, displays and so on which will be ready for July 13th.

Along with this, suggestion is pointing to demos of the new Lion OS and MacBook Air, as well as Electronista reporting that Apple users may be invited along to official stores in order to download the new OS, as oppose to buying it on the shelf and getting advice at the same time.

As we would like to clarify, this is only speculation from 9to5 sources and there is no guarantee that the refreshed MacBook Air will come at the same time as the OS if not straight after. Reports about two weeks ago had stated that the MacBook Air would not release until the Lion had.

Here at OSM, we’ve done our best to give you the information as it arrives including, news as it came through from Apple’s WWDC event last month, news that Apple’s MacBook Air would include Intel Sandy Bridge processors, Thunderbolt port giving faster connectivity speeds, possible FaceTime HD webcam and faster Nand Flash technology.

Other refreshed devices to look out for in the coming weeks could include the Mac Mini and and Mac Pro. Add-ons could involve new rack-mountable chassis and for the Mini a Thunderbolt port replacement, already seen on the up to date MacBook Pro devices.
